Application Description
The TEDxSydney mobile app is the perfect companion to the full day of talks taking place on Saturday 26 April 2014 at the Sydney Opera House. Capture the day by tagging your favourite moments, and connect easily with fellow attendees.
The App is designed to enhance the live event or live broadcast through tagging content and recording the best moments. To watch the live broadcast on the day go to: http://TEDxSydney.com/LIVE/
Download the App and enjoy the content before, during and after the event:
BEFORE
+ See the Schedule and get all the background information on Speakers
+ Log-in to see fellow Attendees, and filter by interests, industries and year of attendance to make new connections
DURING
+ Tag your favourite moments either at the event or watching a live broadcast
+ Share moments and record notes against them
+ Stay up to date with the schedule
+ Highlight new connections and people you meet during the day
AFTER
+ Review your notes and tags, and export the list in email
+ Playback any part of the day, and tag new moments you’d like to share
+ Follow-up with connections made on the day
Enjoy the day, and relive the day at anytime, through the App’s video playback screen.
Notes for use:
TAGGING
- Tagging your favourite moments will operate with some differences depending on your location. Attendees at the event will see the action in real time and the tagging will be precise as a result. Those watching a live broadcast will see the live action with slightly different delays. These delays are due to encoding the live stream, and any data lag due to a persons internet connection. To overcome this, tagging a moment for those watching the live broadcast will have an approximation for that time lag. This results in some differences in what you tag and what you see in playback. In these cases skip forward and back with the +/-30sec buttons in the playback screen.
- Tagging in the Playback screen captures the precise moment you will be watching on the screen.
ATTENDEES
- To view the Attendees section you must log in with you TEDxSydney community registration details. If you have attended any TEDxSydney event you will be able to log in and see attendees from any year.
