Application Description
There are many ways that you can get live coverage of sport events, like matches from the major baseball, soccer and hockey competitions. Wouldn't it be nice if the same could be provided for your own soccer team, or your sons baseball team? That friends, family and fans who are not able to attend a match can stay connected with the match as it is happening?
With TeamTweet Lite that is possible. It lets you capture the key moments of a sports match with only a few clicks, and immediately posts them to the teams twitter account. Fans, friends and family register themselves as followers of the team, and see virtually live what is going on. Does your team score a goal? With just a few clicks you tell who scored and who prepared the goal. There is no need to type in player names, the score or the time a goal was scored, because TeamTweet takes care of that. So you can keep your eyes on the game rather then on your iPhone.

Here's how TeamTweet works: when you have installed TeamTweet on your iPhone, you start by setting up a Twitter account on http://twitter.com for the team for which you want to create reports. Next you setup the team in TeamTweet, add the teams players, and attach the twitter account to the team. You send out the twitter address to all the fans, and you’re set to go.
Prior to the match you create it in TeamTweet, which will send out a first tweet with the name and date of the event. The match appears in the list of planned contests, on the day you start the contest in TeamTweet and you enter relevant events as they occur. Events are specific per sport, currently the following sports are available in TeamTweet Lite:
• Baseball
• Basketball
• Soccer
Events can be either time related (for example start of period, end of match) or about things that happen (for example goal). TeamTweet always presents the list of events that are relevant for the current state of the match, and with a few clicks you specify what exactly happened. Example is which player scored a goal. TeamTweet takes care of the timing and score.
The events show up in the live match report and are immediately sent to the Twitter account of the team, so that all followers can get the updates within seconds.
