The Texas Behavior Support (TBS) Network provides leadership for the implementation of the Office of Special Education Program’s (OSEP) Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). The goal of the Texas Behavior Support (TBS) Network is to create a Positive Behavior Support System for students with disabilities, as well as all students attending Texas public schools. Although the original focus of TBS was to support the behavior needs of students with disabilities, it quickly became evident in examining the newly expanding PBIS model that in order to address the needs of children in special education you had to implement prevention interventions for all students. Therefore, the TBS Network adopted PBIS as its philosophical foundation and supports all three tiers of the model including school-wide and classroom. Region 4 serves as the state lead for the Texas Behavior Support (TBS) Network.


Texas Behavior Support State Conference - PBIS: Serving All Students, Support at All Tiers

This event is held annually to provide campuses and districts the opportunity to build and expand knowledge and skills for the successful implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) for students.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE—
• Keynote Session that addresses core features of Tier I PBIS and current efforts around the country to scale up
• Skill-Building Sessions on special topics that provide participants with skills they can apply immediately
• Showcase Sessions provided by campuses/districts across the State of Texas that have demonstrated successful implementation of the PBIS process
