When launching an alert with TapShield, the user's real-time geolocation and key user profile information is transmitted to emergency response personnel in order to make smarter and faster decisions throughout the duration of the alert. The TapShield application also provides the user with Chat and Timer modes. Chat mode allows the user to message in real-time with the authorities during times where they do not want their voice to be heard. Timer mode provides security to the user over an extended period of time, perfect for long runs, walking home from the library and more. TapShield offers patent-pending Yank technology, allowing the user to send an alert by pulling their headphones out without ever having to touch their phone screen.
