1995년 MBC대학가요제 부산대표로 참가한 인연의 끈으로 가수 이한철과 Zipper (1997년)결성 ‘내가사랑하는 그녀는’이란 곡으로 활동 하면서 각 종 PARTY DJ, 영화 드라마 CF음악 (주유소 습격 사건, 신라의 달밤, 빙그레 바나나 우유, SK청소년 캠페인, KTF, LG 화학...), 음반 프로듀서(박상민, 이한철, 쥬얼리, CAN, Click B...)를 비롯해 Big brothers family, TAMA로 꾸준히 활동해 온 ‘장기영’은 2007년 ‘편지효(기타)’, ‘해태(베이스)’, ‘신선미(드럼)’를 만나 Old Rock과 Jazz의 Swing感을 기본으로 하는 음악과 70년대,80년대 경계선의 조금은 촌스러운 듯한 Costume이 COOL해보이는 유쾌한 SHOW BAND ‘TAMA & VAGABOND’를 결성. 2007년 부산 국제 락 페스티벌, 말레이시아 Indies Blew, 2008년 드라마 ‘아빠셋 엄마하나’OST, 부산 선셋 라이브, 2009년 일본 후쿠오카 Yamakasa축제 기획 공연, Human Race 공연 및 컴필레이션 음반 참여, ‘광안대교’, ‘니가 가라 하와이’ 등이 수록 된 TAMA &VAGABOND 1st EP를 발매, 지금까지 홍대 클럽 FB Soulhouse의 주말 레지던스 밴드로 활동 중 이다. 자칫 직업을 의심케 하는 위압적인 외모와 코스튬과는 달리 SHOW BAND라는 타이틀에 걸맞게 유쾌 하며 즐겁고 해학적인 무대 퍼포먼스와 여자들이 궁금해 하는 남자들의 속내, 남자들이라면 고개를 끄덕일 수 있는 꾸밈없는 솔직한 음악과 가사로 무장한 ‘TAMA & VAGABOND’의 2번째 EP와 그들의 행보에 주목해 주길 바란다.


TAMA Jang, Gi young made ‘Zipper’ with Lee Han chul who is singer took part with him in MBC Univ. K-pop Festival in 1995. Having been team with a song ‘She who I love is…’ , they’ve been parties as a DJ, made OST for movies, dramas and CF (Attack the gas station, Kick The Moon, BingGrae Banana Milk, SK campaign for youth, KTF, LGchem…), Album producer(Park sang min, Lee han chul, Jewelry, CAN, Click B…). Additionally, Jan, Gi young having been big brother family, TAMA made TAMA & VAGABOND that is cool looking delight show band of which custom is a music based old rock & jazz swing sense and a little country one on the line between ‘70s and ‘80s after being with Pyun, Jihyo (guitar), Haetae (bass), Sin Sunmi(drums). They released TAMA & VAGABOND 1st EP being include ‘Kwang-An bridge’, ‘You go Hawaii’ and took part in 2007 Busan International Rock festival, Malaysia Indies Blew, 2008 Drama 3 fathers & mother OST, Busan Sunset live, 2009 Japan Fukuoka Yamakasa festival planning & performing, NikeHuman Race concert and Compilation Album. And they’ve been resident band at club FB Soulhouse on Hong-Ik Univ. until now. Let’s attention the 2nd EP having frank sound and lyrics without superfluity by Show band ‘TAMA & VAGABOND’ showing insides of men women unknown.
