With this App you will be able to explore basic INFORMATION of the ships as well as technicial SPECIFICATIONS, PHOTO'S and trivia.
On top of that, this App allows you to view the CURRENT LOCATION or last known position of the ships! By clicking on the map icon a world map with the ships position pops up, also displaying whether the ship is actually sailing or moored and what its destination is.
Features:
- Pictures of over 120 tall ships
- Link to current location of almost all ships
- Basic information, such as the year it was built, the home port and flag
- Technical data, such as the overall length of the ships, the rig, number of sails, engine.
- Explanation of the different types of rig (full rigged, barque, barquentine, brig, brigantine, schooner)
- Mark ships as favorite to remember them
- Links to interesting video's on the web
Note: the current location / last known position feature is subject to the availability of position information. Therefore it may not work always for all ships or display delayed location information.
