Application Description
Tagzidy is a new way to share, discover & interact with the people & things around you. A New geoSocial Experience!
We need a better way to connect with the people & things that are around us, right now. Leave "Footprints" to geo-tag & share your awesome experiences! Automatically collect geo-token "Coins" as you come near them. "Tag" people, automatically, as they happen to be nearby. You can Tag only friends, or Tag everyone, it's totally up to you!
What can Tagzidy do for you? Here's the speed version of the 4 core features:
Footprints
✓ Geo-tag & Share your experiences, by leaving Footprints to help each other discover cool things nearby.
✓ Footprints are geo-notes that you can leave anywhere in the world, about anything you want.
✓ Anywhere that something interesting inspires you, you can geo-tag your experiences by leaving your Tagzidy Footprints behind, with a note and photo.
✓ You can also automatically "step in" others' footprints as you happen to be near them, even while your phone sleeps snug in your pocket.
Coins
✓ Collect virtual Tagzidy "Coins" automatically just by being near them, even with your phone in your pocket.
✓ Coins are geo-tokens that can represent absolutely anything.
✓ They might be fun trivia... or they might be a heads up about a cool place or event happening nearby.
✓ Some might even have prizes attached to them!!!
Entourages
✓ Create & join "entourages" with your friends while you hang out to brand your current crew with a custom name and tagline.
✓ You can check your whole entourage into a Facebook place.
Tagz
✓ "Tag" your friends automatically as you happen to be near them, even while your phone stays in your pocket.
✓ Tagz can simply be a social stat tracker for who you spend your time around.
✓ Maybe you'll tag a friend that you didn't even know was nearby and you can meet up.
✓ Or, if you want, open your privacy settings a bit and tag everyone to feel a fun & safe sense of connection with your fellow human beings you are around every day. Who knows, you might even make some new friends.
Apple Required Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
But don't worry, we're not just running constant GPS in the background. The location method we schemed up is incredibly battery efficient. On average, a full 24 hours of running Tagzidy with background location on uses about as much battery as a 10-20 minute phone call. And if you are not on-the-go, there is no GPS being used at all. So basically, if you are used to charging your phone every 2-3 days, you won't even notice a difference.
Also, you can choose to shut background location off completely! Just select "single ping" from the bottom bar on the main menu, and it will only ping your location when you open the app... and no location updates what so ever if the app isn't open and being used!
