Application Description
Switch Box Invaders was created for young people with special needs who use Bluetooth assistive technology switches to control the iPad.
The game is a motivational means of developing and improving sequencing, timing and basic switch control skills.
Switch Box Invaders can be controlled with a single switch connected using most iPad compatible switch interfaces. The game can also be played by touching any part of the screen with a hand or arm etc.
Speed of gameplay can be adjusted to suit slower players and switch boxes.
Switch Box Invaders includes Apple Game Center support for Achievements, Leaderboards and Challenges.
An optional high-visibility mode is provided with clearer visuals and a high contrast palette.
Switch Box Invaders supports Bluetooth interfaces which send character codes, space or enter. The following switch interfaces have been tested and are known to work.
