Application Description
SubnetX Music Controller exposes control of the built-in music player via a RESTful web interface.
For best use, give your iPhone a fixed IP address on your local wi-fi network. You could also configure your wireless router to point a "somedomain.local" host name to your iPhone's IP. Then build a web app using these REST calls, hook your iPhone up to a nice stereo system, and have a party!
The available REST calls are documented at the root, by loading http://[IPHONE'S IP ADDRESS]/. There are calls to get all the albums and artists in your library, and calls to play a track by track ID, stop, pause, and resume playback. Also you can get the album art of any album as a JPEG.
