EcoDriving Lite is a free application that will help you decrease vehicle emissions while at the same time saving you both fuel and money!
The app measures the eco-efficiency of your driving style while you are driving. When you’ve finished your trip, the app gives you feedback by means of awarding you a Green Index Score. Challenge yourself to become a better eco-driver.
EcoDriving Lite measures your driving speed and registers hard brakings and accelerations. The app saves the result of the five last trips you made, as well as your best result. You can also share your results on Facebook and Twitter.
Want to become better at EcoDriving? The app guides you to the nearest driving schools who can offer you an individual EcoDriving-course. The schools’ locations are shown on a map and you can directly get in touch with them by phone or visit their homepage.
Finally, the app includes background information about EcoDriving, gives tips on how to get the most accurate measurement and describes how the partnership between STR and CGI made this app possible.
The app continues to measure your driving behavior when the app is minimized. For this to be possible, the app needs to use GPS in the background during the measurement. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
