The Stem Project is currently in beta.
It is in its early stages, with many new features to come, but has been released early to create a strong user base.
Stem is not another Facebook or Twitter. It's not focused on connecting you with your friends from class or coworkers. It's a network for you to branch out and connect with nearby users with the same interests and hobbies as you. Stay in the loop as to what is going on around you that pertains to your interests.
So what do I do with Stem? After you answer a few questions about yourself in the registration process, our unique matchmaking algorithm suggests a list of users for you to "add to your stems." Once added, you can interact with these users like on any other social network.
