The STARS Foundation was established by Al Dabbagh Group in 2001 to improve the lives of children and their communities globally. STARS was founded on the belief that local organisations are best-placed to
respond to the needs of their communities and the children in their care.

Through the Impact Awards, STARS finds and invests in outstanding frontline organisations working in children's Health, Education and Protection. Impact Award recipients are selected from over one thousand applicants every year using eight criteria, developed with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, that reflect the hallmarks of effective practice.

This app uses rich multimedia content to showcase the 2012 STARS Impact Award Winners and allows the user to explore their work. It also features the latest news from the organisations which will provide an update on their progress after receiving their Impact Award.
