Application Description
Spot The Santa : A Season Greetings from HCL Technologies Ltd.
Do you know that Mr. Santa is right now around you somewhere? You can now find him and get the Season’s Greetings.
Spot the Santa is a mobile application to convey the New Year and Christmas greetings through an Augmented Reality (AR) game. The app takes the picture of the AR view with the Santa in your space which you can post it to Facebook or save it in photo gallery or email it.
********Features**********
* Once the SpotTheSanta application is launched look at the augmented reality view.
* Aim your phone in all directions, up and down to spot flying Mr. Santa.
* Listen to the background song. It gets louder if you are moving at right direction.
* Watch out for santa emoticon on the left top. He will smile if you are at right direction. He will frown or sleep if you are point your phone at wrong direction.
* See other characters like Gingerman, Snowman, Christmas tree and Reindeer appearing along with the real world environment. But you need to find the winking Mr. Santa.
* Once you spot Mr. Santa – tap on him.
* If you find difficulty in spotting the Santa take help from the Spotter. It is a waving hand on right top that appears every 30 secs. Tap on it to guide you to Mr.Santa.
* Get our Season’s Greetings through the Mr. Santa.
* Use Save & Share option to view the photo picture of Mr.Santa in your space. You can post the picture to your Facebook account or save it locally or send by email.
********How to Use*******
1. Hold the phone in landscape mode (recommended).
2. Turn around and point the phone in different directions, up and down to spot the flying Mr.Santa.
3. Follow the song and santa emoticon as a guide to spot the santa. Song gets louder and the emoticon smiles if you are in right direction. Use Spotter if you want to be guided to Mr.Santa.
4. Once you spot Mr.Santa, gently tap on him to get the Greetings.
5. Select Save & Share to view and post the picture of Mr.Santa in your space to Facebook or save it or send by email.
6. Select Play Again to spot Mr. Santa again. Now he will be in different direction.
If it takes time for you to spot the Mr.Santa, don’t worry it would have given you a good shoulder and neck exercise!
NOTE: You don’t need to move or walk. Just turn around in all directions.
