SPF Suggest App is a Mobile Application for people on the Go - Mom's, Kids, Teenagers, Seniors and everyone who is in the Sun and is looking to find out what is the recommended SPF for their skin based on how long they will be in the Sun.
Using your smart phone the SPF Suggest App can help you easily figure out your SPF needs.
The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) listed on a bottle of sunscreen is a measure of how well the product protects your skin from the sunburn. Sunburn, which damages the skin, can cause cancer and also result in premature aging.
SPF is mainly a measure of UV-B (the ultraviolet radiation from the sun that causes sunburn) protection.
SPF ranges from 1 to 45 or above. Higher the SPF, the more protection a sunscreen offers against UV-B.
An SPF 15 sunscreen allows a person to stay out in the sun 15 times longer than normal. A person without SPF protection can stay out in the sun for up to 10 minutes without getting sunburnt. Whereas if you apply a sunscreen with SPF 15 you can enjoy the sun for 150 minutes (2.5hours).
