FANTASTIC app. I commute 230 miles to work once a week, and I am just the kind of person you designed the app for: On the roads I drive, I have a decent idea of the speed at which I won't get a ticket -- and the amount over the speed limit varies per road so the fact that it is so easy to customize on the fly is a big help. I have tried other speed-warning apps, including a couple that have more features (e.g. a fancy HUD as well as "speed-trap warnings", which is not important to me since my aim is to keep to a reasonable speed not too much over the speed limit!)... However, the other apps do not actually work in the background while I am using my GPS navigation or playing iTunes. This is a deal-breaker for me since I rely on audiobooks and music to get me through my commute. Speed-Reminder works perfectly in the background, so that if I unintentionally start to go above the speed threshold that I have chosen, I get a warning sound even when I am using my GPS app and playing music or audiobooks. Thanks for a great app!

Tips:

1. Sometimes you can not lock the GPS satellites, you can try to turn off then turn on again the Location Services. (on your iOS device main screen => Settings => Location Services)
2. If you are using iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1, it is recommended that immediately upgrade to iOS 5.1+.
3. After launching this application, press the Home key to let it run in the background. In this way, only using sound and voices remind you of the current driving speed, to ensure driving safety and save battery consumption.

3. Speed-Reminder is an GPS application. Before installing this application, please:
(1). make sure the GPS works on your iOS device.
On your device main screen, tap Settings => Location Services (make sure it is "ON").
(2). when installing this application, you need to tap “OK” when iOS device asks if the application can use your current location.
4. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
