Spectrum Music is a program that provides children with unique opportunities to enhance social development and sensory skills outside of therapy in music. The goal of Spectrum Music is to give students a formal and unique music education based on social behaviors & interactions using traditional techniques and technology. Music teaches patience, analysis, memory, working with others, vocal inflection, writing, learning to use your voice, and creativity. These are all vital skills for anyone to develop but critical for children on the Autism spectrum to embrace. Spectrum Music evaluates students individually to see musically what aspect of the curriculum can enhance their development. Having individual sessions or small group sessions helps student’s confidence grow immensely.
