Application Description
Our free SPARKvue for iOS brings real-time sensor-based data collection to your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Students can use the new PASPORT AirLink 2 Bluetooth interface to connect to over 70 PASCO sensors, measuring a wide range of phenomena, including pH, temperature, force, carbon dioxide level, and many more. Use your iOS device to collect sensor data for your biology, chemistry, earth science, environmental science, physics and physical science studies. SPARKvue can also record data from the iPhone or iPod Touch's internal accelerometer, with no additional hardware needed.

How is this free SPARKvue for iOS different from SPARKvue HD for iPad?
SPARKvue for iOS is PASCO’s free app, providing sensor-based data collection for your iOS device, including iPhone and iPod touch. This app was the first to offer sensor-based measurement for an iOS device and has been very popular around the world. We will continue to offer this free App, as it comes in quite handy for use with simple data collection on your iPhone or iPod touch.
SPARKvue HD for iPad is more than just display of sensor measurements. It offers the complete functionality of SPARKvue software, including more extensive display and analysis tools, electronic student lab journal, and the ability to build and use SPARKlab interactive lab activities. SPARKvue HD is available for iPad only. For product details, see pasco.com/iPad
Where do I get sensors?
To connect to PASCO’s PASPORT sensors, you will need the new PASPORT AirLink 2, available from PASCO. The AirLink 2 allows the sensors to send data over a Bluetooth connection to your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Both the AirLink 2 and PASPORT sensors are available from PASCO scientific, see www.pasco.com/iPhone for more information
How do I connect an external sensor?
Before launching SPARKvue, pair your PASPORT AirLink 2 in the Bluetooth Settings of your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Once paired, SPARKvue will automatically recognize any PASPORT sensor you connect to the AirLink 2.
