Social media is no longer a new concept but it is increasingly becoming a huge part of our everyday lives. With the growth of social media, we see many technological advancements such as smarter, more powerful mobile devices and more efficient data consumption. Social media generates a large majority of data and there is little doubt that social media and big data will play an even greater role both now and in the future.
