SNF Regs is a reference app listing all Federal (F-Tags), Life Safety (K-Tags), and Penal Codes (P-Codes) for long-term –care nursing facilities, aka nursing homes. It is designed by a Skilled Nursing Facility administrator for administrators. And, it’s not just for administrators; anyone working in or with nursing facilities will want this app. Directors of Nursing, Nurses, Aides, Maintenance Supervisors, Human Resources, Corporate Consultants, etc., will benefit from SNF Regs. This app leaves you with the bare essentials of what you need to know to stay compliant. You can’t win if you don’t know the rules.
F-Tags: Federal Tags are the citations given by surveyors on nursing facility annual and complaint surveys.
K-Tags: Life Safety Code tags are the citations given by surveyors regarding items related more to fire safety, electric, and building construction. Life Safety Code Regulations encompass many different governing agencies so it’s extremely difficult to find a one-stop shop for compliance data. “Newer facilities” as used in SNF Regs is defined as facilities newer than the year 2000.
P-Codes: Penal Codes are used as the basis for Convictions Barring Employment. When Human Resources runs a background check sometimes fumbling around to find these regulations are cumbersome. The Convictions-barring-Employment list is also full of disclaimers and legalize that mucks up quick reference. We take all that away and list out the bare bones for your convenience. The Convictions prior to the Five Year Anniversary has also been categorized and listed for quick reference.
