This first version of SmartWalk is intended to help all art lovers explore local art walks in the San Francisco Bay Area. Eventually the app will be location based and support a variety of art, music or film festivals all over the world.

Currently the following major Bay Area art walks and projects are presented: Mission Arts and Performance Project (MAPP), North Beach First Fridays, Oakland Art Murmur etc.

The following features are available:

- Description, contact info and the list of dates of an event’s host
- List of an event’s locations with addresses and pictures (where available)
- Switching between the List and Map modes
- List of shows grouped by location with start and end time (where available)
- Expanding and collapsing show descriptions to see more details
- Ability to turn on/off grouping by location and to see a full list of shows sorted by start time
- Highlights of on-going shows in real time
- Full text search through locations and shows
- Switching to Apple Maps turn-by-turn directions mode to navigate to a specific location
- Copying an address of a location for further sharing with friends
- In-app web browsing of related events or show’s websites
- Full screen previewer for all pictures of locations or shows
