It's about time that Smack High took things to the next level!

Introducing the Smack High social app, a more meaningful way for high school students to connect and interact with each other on various levels within their own school, state, and across the country. We wanted to build something that could connect our Smack Community of 400,000+ followers nationwide in ways that were unique from any other social network currently out there.

The Quick Rundown:

- Log in with your school network, get access to 3 unique streams of posts: people in your school, your state, and the country. The middle stream is your school stream.
- Toggle between viewing the "Live stream" and "Top" (most popular) posts on each of the above streams.
- "Smack" posts that you think are funny, interesting, cool, inspiring, news-worthy, etc.; most-smacked posts appear higher up on "Top" stream.
- Post publicly or anonymously easily with the flick of a button.
- Look out for everyone else in the Smack High community by reporting those who are posting inappropriately or bullying with the push of the "Report" button.


The Details:

- Live Stream: Find out what's happening right now in your school, your state, or the U.S. by viewing the "Live" stream of posts being made in real-time. Switch between any of these three streams whenever you want with just the push of a button.

- Top Smacks: Find out who posted the top, most popular stories in your school, state, and nationally by simply toggling the "Top" tab on any of these three streams. Oh, you were the one who posted about how psyched you were about the game last night? Guess what, that's now ranked as the top story in your school, and maybe even your state if enough people thought it was worthy. Will you ever make it to the top of any of these streams?

- Smacking: As you're checking out what everyone's saying in all of the streams, you may come across a post you find interesting, funny, or just really like. You can show your approval by "smacking" the gray hand button on the post, which will then light up to a glowing orange to show that you "smacked" it. Do you think that your post will get smacked so much to one day become the "Top" post on the U.S. stream? That will be tough to do since there will be hundreds of thousands of other people trying to do the same thing, but maybe you will (only one way to find out!)

- Posting: What if we told you we could allow you to say something privately while also letting your voice be heard loud and clear to everyone? Our proprietary dual-posting feature allows you to decide whether or not you would like your post to be made public or anonymous. This gives you the option to post exactly how you want depending on what you'd like to express. To be safe though, if you choose to post anonymously, then your posts are going to be heavily moderated by members off our team before they are seen on the stream. This is to protect everyone and to create a supportive, yet open community. Please, BE SMART and think about what you decide to share before you share it (publicly or anonymously!)

This is just the beginning. We have hundreds of new features that we'll be sending out in our updates (some of which have never been done before in other social networks). Make sure you show the app to your friends and tell them to hop on with you and the rest of the country!
