Application Description
* About...
Sky Harbinger utilises the meteorological data provided by 7Timer! to give the user an up to date overview of the current sky conditions at any location.
The app uses either GPS, latitude/longitude entry or by picking a location from the extensive list of places and requesting the forecast data for it. The app then processes and displays the data in a simple table layout.
* Main screen...
The main screen shows the available data. In regards to the graphs, the bigger the graph, the 'worse' the condition.
- Location Data and Date.
-- Time and Date.
---- Short date with time split for each data series.
---- Long day with date.
-- Cloud: The amount of cloud.
-- Seeing: The amount of turbulence.
-- Trans: Atmospheric transparency.
-- Temp: The temperature (C or F).
-- Humidity: Any high humidity.
-- Dew Point: Calculated dew point.
-- Precipitation and Instability.
---- Precip: R=rain, S=snow.
---- Instability: Any high instability.
-- Wind Data: Direction and Speed.
--- Speed: 1=calm, 8=hurricane.
-- Moon %: Percentage of full moon.
- Sliding along the bottom of the screen will show the Information Block, tap to remove block.
- Tapping on the Latitude will toggle between the DMS and Location Type.
- Tapping on the word 'Time' will toggle between Time and Date.
- Tapping on the word 'Temp' will toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- Tapping on the word 'Precip' will toggle between Precipitation and Instability.
- Tapping on the word 'Wind' will toggle between Direction and Speed.
Double tapping the screen will refresh the data.
The 'S' button will take the user into the settings screen.
* Settings...
The user can change many settings to suit.
1) Colour Mode:
- There are 6 colour modes: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Grey and Colours.
2) Location Settings:
- The user can choose from 3 ways to determine the current location.
-- PICK Location: Select from 10 user locations and over 400 pre-defined places from around the world. User defined locations are at the top of the PICK List.
-- GPS Location: If available, the GPS can be used to get the current location.
-- SET Latitude/Longitude: The user can input the current location in DMS format.
* Notes...",
1) Go to the App Settings in your iPhone for editing of the 10 user defined locations.
2) The App does not run in the background.
3) Turning on/off 'Location Services' for the App will require a restart of the App.
4) An internet connection is required.
