“SIP & VoIP” is a reference application and introduction to the world of Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), which works with many Internet protocols and systems to provide communication over the Internet. SIP is a signaling protocol used to initiate the communications between two or more people or systems. The communication can be voice, or video with voice. There have been several other LAN and WAN protocols that use some of the same protocols as SIP. Examples of good signaling protocols that are widely used are H.323 and MGCP.

This application is a free basic reference application for SIP and VoIP.

6. QoS Introduction

7. QoS Calculator (IPP, DSCP, Byte Representation)

The VoIP Calculator can be used to estimate bandwidth usage and number of voice calls supported. This can be very handy for quickly concluded if the number of calls can be supported or not over a specific type link.
