Application Description
The Sight Selector™ Premium by Patient Education Concepts, Inc. and Eyeland Design Network GmbH, is an application for use by eye care professionals to help demonstrate various eye diseases, conditions and treatments to their patients. These programs are not meant to serve for definitive diagnostic purposes nor as a substitute for clinical judgments.
All Sight Selector Applications (Premium, Lite, and Subscription) have the same programs available for downloading. The primary difference between this Premium version and the other Sight Selector Applications is that it comes with a pre-bundled set of 50 topics. Once you download the initial 50 topics, you will have the ability to purchase additional topics within the application’s in-app store.
Each individual topic within the app allows doctors and counselors to educate their patients using 3D images or narrated videos. The topics are divided into nine categories: Cataracts & IOLs, Refractive Errors, Laser Vision Correction, Wavefront Guided Procedures, Wavefront Optimized Procedures, Conventional LVC Procedures, General Ophthalmology, Cosmetic and Optical. All of the topics and narrated videos can be previewed on PEC’s website at this link: http://www.patientedconcepts.com/sight_selector.html. This page will also identify which of the 84 topics are included in the Premium bundle of programs.
In addition, the application provides the user the ability to draw on the 3 D images, create and save video playlists and add their own custom videos to playlists. Only the Sight Selection Subscription App has the additional function of being able to print handouts of each topic via a wireless printer and customize the App within your device with your practice name. The cost of the annual subscription is less than $1 per day.

The Sight Selector™ Lite App includes a FREE download of the “Anatomy of the Eye” topic. Once you download the Sight Selector™ Lite FREE app, you may purchase individual topics priced from $6.99 to $49.99 each within the in-app store.
The Sight Selector Subscription App is sold as an annual subscription that allows you to download all available topics (currently 84 as of April, 2013) for less than $1.00 per day. Any new topics created during your subscription period are also included. Only the Sight Selector Subscription App has the added capability of allowing you to print handouts of each subject via your wireless printer and customize the App within your device with your practice name.
