Since 2005, Shifting Perspectives has brought together the work of twelve photographers who all have a personal connection with Down's syndrome.
This award winning body of work explores the photographic representation of people with Down's syndrome, challenging commonly held attitudes and prejudices, whilst offering alternative representations of both adults and children.

In many ways the work reflects a contemporary trend in documentary photography where practitioners are no longer purely objective observers with little understanding of the complexity of the situation; they are personally involved with their subject matter.
