This app connects contractor buyers in the field using smartphones to the SHARKMARX online purchase platformform for landscape and home improvement materials. In just minutes, a buyer (contractor) can submit a quote request from a jobsite or remote field location and receive electronic quotes back to their email inbox saving countless hours on the phone or emailing, soliciting quotes using traditional methods. Furthermore, the SHARKMARX unique Reverse Auction technology generates competitive quotes, typically saving contractors 15% on materials.
This app runs SHARKMARX Get-A-Quote product and connects it to the SHARKMARX cloud-based purchase engine. Quote requests are broadcast to the SHARKMARX network of sellers. Quotes from the seller network are compiled and returned to the buyer who requested quotes. Buyers can choose to purchase materials using the quotes they receive by using the SHARKMARX purchase platform. All quote requests are anonymous and remain anonymous until a purchase request is submitted.

Within the app, buyers input all of their material specifications including materials (brand, product, color, acceptable substitutions), quantities, delivery date, delivery address and off-loading requirements.
The SHARKMARX app also allows sellers on its network to submit products that they wish to have listed for sale on the SHARKMARX web site. Sellers (authorized dealers) can quickly use their smartphone to detail their listings directly from the field; the app also allows users to take and submit photos of the product(s) with their smartphone camera.
