Service Saver: Service Saver helps cut the cost of traveling on the UK motorway network by taking you to supermarket sites, right next to the motorway, where there is low cost petrol, diesel and food. The typical saving on fuel is 6-7%. Food and drinks are often half price. The first time you use the app to fill up you will recover the cost of the pro version and more!
The Service Saver Pro app advises users, traveling on the UK Motorway network, of over 85 sites where there are supermarkets and petrol stations just off (no more than about 500m) double motorway junctions, where you can buy fuel and food and make huge savings compared to doing the same at motorway service stations. The app updates automatically using your phone GPS system as you travel down the motorway.
The Pro version of Service Saver provides additional information such as the name of the shop, the opening hours of the supermarket and/or fuel station, the facilities available there and the distance from your current location, which is updated as you travel down the motorway.
The app also shows if there are fast food outlets such as McDonald's, KFC, Burger King etc. adjacent to the site.
A "Navigate" button ties the app in with the Navigation app and takes you right to the site. A "Show Map" button displays the location on the Maps app. Service Saver is designed for devices that have a GPS system built in. A data connection is only required for the Navigate and Show Map functions.
The service saver app is deigned to work and find low cost fuel whilst moving along the UK motorway network. Using service saver whilst stationary or not on the UK motorway network may give poor results.
