Need to quickly remind yourself (with an alarm) of something important? SelfReminder makes it easy.

Launch the app, fill in a brief description (or even keep the previous one), and hit "Done". That's it! You now have that event stored into your default calendar. The rest of the reminder details are handled as application default settings (hours into the future the reminder will be set, the length of the event, and the minutes before the event the alarm will sound). If you wish, you can specify default notes to add to your reminders as well.

Because the reminder goes directly into your default calendar, you don't even need to have your device with you, your calendar will pop an alert to remind you.

On first launch, SelfReminder prompts you to choose your own settings, but if you're really in a hurry, it bundles default settings of 2 hours ahead, 15 minutes in length, and a reminder alarm sounds 2 minutes before the event (i.e. 1 hour 58 minutes into the future).

To enable one-handed entry or make the larger layout of the keyboard available, you can enter text in both portrait and landscape modes.

The app requires features available only in iOS 4. Hope you enjoy and find it useful!

***Note: Your default calendar isn't set with SelfReminder. That is set in the main Settings app -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Calendars (section) -> Default Calendar.
