If you've ever handed over your iPad to someone so that they can have a play with it, try out an app you think is amazing or so that they can look at something you've prepared for them then you may have worried that they would see commercially confidential or private data. If that data happens to be a video then SecureVid is perfect for you. SecureVid is a password-protected video player for your iPad which prevents other people from accessing your private or corporate videos.

Your videos are protected by an unrecoverable password system. If you enter an incorrect password three or more times you have the option to set a new password but the videos stored in SecureVid will be deleted.

Adding videos to SecureVid is simplicity itself. You can add videos to SecureVid by dragging them to SecureVid's Documents area in iTunes or you can import them into SecureVid directly on your iPad from other applications.

Despite focusing on securely storing your videos SecureVid also allows you to export your videos in several ways. You can either make them publicly available so that you can access then in iTunes, you can attach them to emails if they are smaller than 10MB in size or you can export them to other applications on your iPad. If you make a video publicly available it is clearly marked so that you can see at a glance which of your videos are not secured.

The SecureVid video player itself features a few useful enhancements over the built-in video player such as being able to jump to next or previous chapter points and having multiple fast forward and rewind speeds. SecureVid also remembers the playback position in all of your videos so you resume from the same point when you switch between videos or relaunch the application.
