SCoI is a system for securely distributing documents and protecting them from loss to external users or insider threat. SCoI is a system for implementing regulatory document controls for HIPPA, Sarbanes Oxley, FERPA, etc. SCoI allows an owner of a document to control who can view the document, knowing that the viewer of the document cannot further distribute the document without attribution. The owner can revoke viewing privileges as necessary no matter how wide the distribution.

SCoI addresses the need of:

- Government at the Federal, State and Local levels to manage the distribution of (CUI) Controlled Unclassified Information in accordance with policy. (CUI is often marked as FOUO (For Official Use Only) or LES (Law Enforcement Sensitive), etc).

- Systems integrators to manage CUI that they are responsible for distributing to partners and vendors

- Corporations who distribute proprietary, trade secret, or otherwise sensitive documents that need to be protected from viewing by unauthorized individuals, or being redistributed or misused by authorized individuals.
