Part quiz, part discovery, part education…all interactive mission!
A secret city walk is an interactive mission designed to help you explore the "secret side” of the cities you love by decoding, deciphering and decrypting Mission Objectives while you race against the clock. Each mission is played using your smart phone, your brains, and your surrounding city environment.
This Secret City Walk, London #1, takes you from the internationally recognizable London Eye™, on the London South Bank in the West to the world famous Tate Modern™, modern art museum on the South Bank in the East; a distance of less than 2 miles.
On this adventure you will:
Explore the history of Sir Christopher Wren, Blackfriars Bridge, and the Festival of Britain;
Experience the atmosphere of Gabriel’s Wharf, Jubilee Garden and the Royal Festival Hall; and
Discover bronzed giants, second hand book markets, and riverside pubs…
…and much more as you solve more than 20 objectives to complete this mission and reach the Tate Modern™ in around 2 hours.
If you want to explore and go "off mission" while you are playing, which I recommend you do, you can easily take breaks between Objectives as the timer stops with each correct answer and only starts again when you select the next Objective.
How Do The Walks Work?
Download and open the Walk,
Enter your Mission Specialist team name,
Read the instructions. Knowing the rules will save you time, then
Go to the start point and select "Yes" to get the 1st Mission Objective and begin the challenge.
Each Mission Objective includes:
A map,
Clues to solve, directions to follow, or both,
A question to answer,
A satellite uplink,
A mission update for future reference, and
Four (4) possible solutions.
All you need to do is solve the clues, follow the directions, or both. The answer is waiting for you to find. Just read and understand what is being asked and use your map to help you find the answers. If you get stuck, the "Satellite Uplink" is a help function, which provides a mission shortcut, but it costs you a 5-minute penalty!
Each correct answer gives you a short educational summary on the Objective’s topic with a web link for further information.
