This SCTS Data App allows users to access information on post-operative outcomes held in the UK National Adult Cardiac Surgery Audit database covering NHS hospital and some private hospitals.

This application allows users to obtain information about three types of major cardiac surgery:
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Mitral Valve Surgery (MV surgery)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)

Within each surgery group the user can filter the data by patient demographics, comorbidities, operative and cardiac related factors to refine their query. Unlike risk calculators, it is not necessary to input data for all listed variables allowing for queries to be broad.
All of the processes involved in collecting and analysing the data are compliant with patient confidentiality principles and the appropriate data protection legislation. No data that can allow a patient to be identified is accessible through this application.
For more information on this application, please go to www.scts.org

The audit is funded by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership and managed by the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research at UCL (NICOR). This app was developed by Spark Revolutions, University Hospital of South Manchester, NICOR and the University of Manchester.
