It knows you need to refresh your memory the next time you continue listening to your book, so it rewinds a few seconds.
It knows you need to rewind after your listening was interrupted by a phone call.
It knows you might want to use your iPod library for books, so it automatically scans and adds them.
It knows you might just want to drag and drop your mp3 files (or many other formats) into your documents folder and start listening, no conversions needed.
It knows you want to keep an eye on your listening habits, so it remembers what books you listened to and when.
It gets it, as you listen more, with practice, you can listen faster, but not too fast; so you can choose your playback speed in 0.1 increments.
