Pitch (scale step) is controlled by the angle of the phone.
Timbre (audio sample) is controlled by acceleration.
Scale tonic (key) and mode are selected from a menu.
Forthcoming application (ToneHopper) will use the same interaction to trigger melodic playback in in context with musical loops.
