Application Description
THE WANDERING WARRIORS
The Wandering Warriors Inc is a charity organisation managed by the Australian SAS Association Queensland Inc.
OUR MISSION
To raise awareness and funds to support wounded returned Special Forces veterans in Australia
To do so a team of ex SAS 'Wandering Warriors' will walk the gruelling Birdsville Track from Brisbane To Birdsville.
Birdsville is 1602 kilometres (about a 1000 miles) west of Brisbane. crossing some of Australia's most challenging desert.
The Wandering Warriors will conduct the Megawalk between August and September 2013 to raise funds and community awareness for our charity partners:
Our Wandering Warriors app is designed to keep our veterans and their families, our charity partners, our supporters and corporate sponsors up to date and engaged as we tackle this arduous desert challenge.
