SafeTweet is an individual Security Alert System via Twitter. “Text me AS SOON as you get home SAFELY…” What can happen if you forget to text? What can happen if you forget you asked? Safetweet is your automatic SOS. If you fail to check in, our app is designed to alert your friends via Twitter of the your tweet GPS location and your need for assistance.
HOW IT WORKS
Let's say it takes you 20 minutes to walk from the library to your dorm. Simply set which of your twitter followers you wish to alert and set your #safetweet to go off in 20 minutes. Once you reach your dorm simply access the app and cancel. If you fail to cancel the alert, #safetweet will send a direct message via twitter containing your location and your possible need for help.

So whether you are walking back to your dorm at night, going for an early morning or evening jog, or walking through a dark parking lot, you can be confident that friends and family are able to quickly locate you in the event of an emergency situation.

Feeling uneasy, simply go to the panic button page and know that you can call for help no matter where you are. When you seriously need help you don't care who hears you as long as you are heard. The panic button sends your location plus a "Send help NOW! message to all your followers, so help can come from all directions
