safEATy is the informative app that will provide the user with information on the safe handling of different types of food and help minimise the risk of contamination. Using this app will improve the skills of food handlers and decrease the risk of food poisoning.


Features:
It includes advice on how to recognise the symptoms of food poisoning and provides instructions on treatment techniques, like how to make your self most comfortable when sick with food poisoning. It will tell the user how bacteria can contaminate the food that they eat and what kind of food is more vulnerable to contamination. Also who is at more risk to become sick.

There is also material on what bacteria is and where to find harmful bacteria in your kitchen. safEATy informs the user on essential temperatures that bacteria can grow and the critical temperates food needs to be heated at to destroy harmful bacteria.

safEATy includes tips on the correct way to store, handle and to cook fresh, frozen, tinned and dried foods. It provides vital information on the difference between Best Before and Use By Dates.

The user will learn the difference between different cleaning agents and which one can be used near and around food. There is advice on techniques to keep the kitchen and food handler clean and hygienic.
