Application Description
Reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
SIDS in the leading cause of infant deaths in the United States and commonly occurs in babies from infancy to 1 year of age. All SIDS deaths can’t be prevented, but by raising awareness in parents and caretakers we can help reduce the risk. This application is used to teach the steps that may help prevent a SIDS death. Parents can take the fully interactive quiz, see their final score, and get corrections to the questions they answered wrong. Following the quiz there is an informative video with information on current safe sleep procedures that may help reduce the risk of a SIDS death. These safe sleep tips have been studied and are suggested to contribute to the prevention of SIDS.
