This is the official mobile application for the November 2012 RootsCamp conference, put on by the New Organizing Institute, sponsored by AFSCME. The app allows you to connect more closely with the conference and with your fellow attendees, forming connections that can lead to long-term collaboration. Receive notifications from conference organizers, add and search through the people you meet, and create your own custom RootsCamp schedule.

When you log in to the app, you begins to create your "digital business card", uploading your e-mail address, phone number, Twitter handle, and home location. You can set each feature to be available to "everyone", meaning all conference attendees, or "my contacts", meaning only the peopltoyon choose to follow. To add a contact, you tap "add" to search the complete database of all RootsCamp attendees. You can "follow" a fellow attendee to add her to his searchable contact list and take notes to help remember who she is.

You can also view the entire upcoming schedule by tapping "events", which brings you to a searchable list of the entire agenda. By tapping a session, you get a brief description, and the ability to bookmark the event and add it to your personal schedule, which can be accessed by tapping the bookmark icon under "events". You can also rate the session from one to five stars, allowing organizers to get up-to-the-minute feedback on what works and what doesn't. You can see and edit all of your ratings by going to "my feedback".
