Quickly get the latest observations, recent history, and forecasts for most of the rivers, streams, and waterways that NOAA actively monitors in the USA.

Find the nearest gauge to the location you need to know about with the easy-to-use map, which even color codes the station gauges to indicate which locations are "normal", near flooding, or flooding. And then with just the tap of your finger get a recent observation of any station.

With an additional tap of your finger you get a detailed interactive hydrograph. You can zoom in, zoom out, or pan with your fingers to find the exact information you need. If you "tap and hold" on the graph you can view the crosshair "bubble" text to get extremely detailed information.

Add your own custom level lines to your graphs to mark things like sandbars, rocks, bridges, safe conditions, or whatever you would like to remember.

You can even email the graph to a friend!

And you can add the streams or rivers that you would like to regularly monitor to your Favorites for easy "at a glance" viewing at any time.

Hydrograph data is viewable in feet or cfs (if available). Instant Observation data is usually only viewable in feet.

Rivercast uses real-time observation and forecast data, and requires an Internet connection for use.

Please note that there are some gauge locations that you may be able to find online or other mechanisms are not available via this app. NOAA and other government agencies have not yet made all the raw data (required for our custom graphing and mapping solutions) available for all locations. We will add additional gauges if the data becomes available.

Also please note that to conserve your device's battery life Rivercast uses cellular (not gps) location data (when available), and shuts it down if the app is not in the foreground.
