Retake is perfect for before and after pictures. It lines up your after shot to more accurately match your before shot.

Say you want to take a picture of your kid every year on the first day of school. The closer each picture matches the previous picture, the more stunning the overall effect. By using Retake, you can get everything in the picture exactly the same aside from your kid, who changes from picture to picture.

Another use is if you have an old picture, like of a building from the 30s. If you scan that picture and put it on your phone, you can visit that building today and use Retake to find the exact position where that picture was taken. You can then take a new picture and have it be from the exact same location, angle and zoom as the picture from the 30s.

We accomplish this by displaying your old picture semi-transparently on top of the camera interface. Since you are able to see the old picture in real time on top of your current viewfinder, you can move, rotate, and zoom until everything lines up.

If you are working on a project that will involve multiple pictures, such as a time lapse animation or daily pictures of a remodel project, Retake can organize all of those images for you in the app. That way you don't have to have every picture cluttering up your photo stream. Retake stores these inside Image Series, which tracks all of the related images, can show them all in sequence in a video, and can easily export in either image or video format to your photo stream.
