Application Description
This fully functioning version of the real time energy monitor is suitable for the iPhone or iPad. The application is one of the display channels of the Smart Metering Operations Suite (SMOS). The application allows energy data to be streamed in real time from the smart meter to this iPhone application enabling the user to:
• View the actual instant power, cost and carbon
• Set and view daily energy targets
• Configure other self-service attributes and push the data back to SMOS
• Compare todays current/actual usage against the daily average and daily target
• Receive interactive messages from the supplier
The application can be offered to customers by energy suppliers as an alternative to an in home display and requires no user configuration because historical energy usage and tariff details are collected from the SMOS server. The application can be branded and customised to meet the requirements of the energy supplier.
