The Raimondi Coma Scale (RCS) is the most common scoring system used to describe the level of consciousness of a children (from infants up to 3 years old) after a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Like the Glasgow Coma Scale it is used to help assess the severity of acute brain injury. The test is simple, reliable, and correlates well with the results after a severe brain injury.
