Application Description
Whether you are a CFI, a student pilot or a pilot, this is the must have app to understand radionavigation.
Radionav sim simulates two instruments of your choice:
- ADF RBI
- ADF RMI
- VOR
- HSI
Turn the compass card or select a radial using the iPhone's intuitive touch interface.
Drag the stations and the aircraft on the map and observe how the indications on the instruments change. Use two fingers in the map view to rotate the aircraft.
In quiz mode the aircraft is hidden and you (or your student) have three chances to tap on the screen and find the aircraft's correct location.
This app is a must for CFIs and CFIIs. Position the aircraft, set its heading, move the stations, and then hide the aircraft and let you student find its position.
The "Help Lines" features add more to the display:
- The selected radial
- The reciprocal radial
- The TO / FROM sectors separation lines
- Line from the aircraft to an NDB
