RaceOff™, the original race-themed morphing video, helps players unlearn the assumptions we all have about people based on how they look, particularly with respect to race. More importantly, the app debunks racial categorization, implying that human beings are all the same race - human. The original images of each face were morphed together to create a continuous, almost imperceptible transition between each face. Once the player has correctly picked each of the original faces, the gray neutral face turns green with a smile. If picked incorrectly, the face turns red with a sad mouth. On the bottom left of the video screen is the Face Score - the number of times a player correctly chooses one of the original faces. The bottom right of the video shows the score reflecting the correct ID (identity) - the way in which each original model described him/herself. Note: each featured individual was asked to identify him or herself as he or she thought most applicable to this project.
