"Race To The River" is a one of a kind calculator designed to answer one common, but very complex situation in Texas Hold'em.

Either your opponent has gone in with all their chips, or their bet put YOU all-in. Either way, "Race To The River" takes into account several fundamental facts about the hand, such as hand strength, amount of the bet, amount in the pot and how many chips you have in comparison.
"Race To The River" is unlike other poker calculators. It is NOT a “Monte Carlo” odds generator like the vast majority of other apps in the app store. The advantage of this is YOU DO NOT need to enter your opponents cards to get the answer! "Race To The River" gives you practical advice that you can use to evaluate your play. No math or percentages generated, instead there are two opinions to select from, “Tight” or “Aggressive." These opinions will typically agree, however sometimes the opinions will differ due to play style. You base your choice on whatever play style suits you best or you can base the choice on the play style of the opponent who made the bet.

"Race To The River" makes logical decisions based on chip stack retention. If the call has a small return on average but you have a large stack in comparison to the bet, "Race To The River" will more likely tell you to call. If you have few chips relative to the blind, "Race To The River" might also suggest calling even with small return on the investment, given you are short on chips. On the other hand, "Race To The River" may tell you to lay down a relatively good hand if it considers the return on investment too low to justify the amount you are risking from your stack.

"Race To The River" is simple enough for anyone to use, but some basic understanding of Texas Hold'em is required. The app's best application is the middle to the late stages of a No Limit Hold'em tournament. During this stage of a tournament, you will likely encounter a lot of all-in action from players getting low on chips. Navigating through these phases of the tournament are pivotal because this phase puts you near the money, or moving up in the cash. "Race To The River" is also very useful for profiling opponents when they showdown their hands. You can enter the hand played and use "Race To The River" to find out if an opponent's call was a good value and perhaps even if they are a tight or aggressive player.
