Application Description

Or that you would not forget your colleague again at the P&R?
The umbrella still is at your friend's place and you promised to see him anyway...
Your book from the library is overdue and you keep forgetting to return it even though you pass by the library every day?
... then proxiMe is the ideal companion for you: just set a pin on the map and when you get close to the marked location a signal will remind you of what you wanted to do.
In the primary map display you will see all reminders currently set up. Solid pins stand for active reminders, translucent pins for inactive ones. The usual gestures to move and zoom the map detail are supported.
To add a new reminder, you may either:
* tap and hold the location on the map where the reminder should appear,
* use the action menu on the bottom of the map window (“Add current location”), or
* tap the "+"-button on the bottom of the window in the bookmarks overview.
You will get a new entry, prefilled with address data of that location.
To modify the data of an entry, either tap on the pin and then select the arrow, or go to the list of all reminders by tapping the bookmarks button on the top right. From that list, you may enable or disable reminders or select a reminder which will then show all fields. By tapping on one of the columns, you will get to the corresponding details and be able to change them. All changes will take effect immediately.
This App uses the GPS function of your device to get the best results. Please keep in mind: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
The program works best on a device supporting background mode for apps (3GS and beyond).
