Finally, a national pothole tracking website www.potholescout.com and corresponding free iOS app! Drivers no longer have to remember which city they’re in when they hit a pothole, or go through the effort to contact the correct city office to report the problem – a daunting task for metro drivers who travel through multiple cities each day on their daily commute.

Potholescout.com aggregates all submitted pothole locations into one easily searchable website where residents as well as DOT dispatchers can use the site to identify those bothersome bumps in the road.

How the app works:
* After starting the app, the user is given two choices: 1. mark your current location, or 2. manually enter an address, which is near a pothole.
* A pin identifies the location on the map and allows the user to drag the pin to a precise location.
* The user can then rate (minor, moderate, severe) and submit a brief comment, i.e.: The pothole almost swallowed my car! Please fix – it’s been in front of my house for weeks!
* The location and rating of the pothole is then posted on www.potholescout.com
