Popix3D is a motion-parallax 3-D app for portable iOS devices including iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to convey the three dimensionality of objects without the need for 3-D glasses. The user takes their own video headshot and the app complies the Popix3D image. When the device is turned around the vertical yaw axis, the corresponding view of the subject is displayed with the look of the face partially protruding from the screen. Popix3D pictures can be shared with friends using email, Facebook or Twitter.

The Popix3D app provides advertisers chroma-key ability to photograph merchandise (clothes, jewellery, eyeglasses etc) on green-screen mannequins, and to post those ads on their website. When a Popix3D app user finds the ad, they can click on the Popix3D icon to download the ad to their device to merge with their own head shot to see what they would look like wearing the merchandise.
