White smoke will reveal the new Pope! This holy app shows the results from the papal conclave in real-time. Be up to date when the smoke from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel changes from black to white.
At the papal conclave in Rom the College of Cardinals meet to elect a new Bishop of Rome, also known as the Pope. With this app you can directly follow the results from the Sistine Chapel live on your iPhone, iPod or iPad. The fumata nera (black smoke) announces the election wasn't decisive. The fumata bianca (white smoke) announces the conclave is over and a new Pope is elected.
In the secretive world of the Vatican, there is no way to know who is in the running, and history has yielded plenty of surprises. Several names such as Angelo Scola, Ordilo Scherer, Marc Ouellet, and Peter Erdo have come up as strong contenders for becoming the new leader of the Catholic Church.
